KissMeKate Releases "Clementine"

Check out "Clemintine" from KissMeKate.  The track is from her upcoming debut album which is scheduled to be released this spring.

Indie-pop artist, KissMeKate announces the release of her brand new single, “Clementine,” the lead track from her debut album, which slated for release in April 2016. The self-written project was produced by friend and producer Andres Rebellion (Marina & The Diamonds). On the upcoming full-length, the LA-based artist reveals her very personal life experiences - topics range from death, sexuality and love and all depict her skillful storytelling.
The woman behind KissMeKate, Kate Kadenacy, started writing folk music when she was young, while spending countless hours perfecting the meaning and value of her lyrics. After moving from California to Italy at the age of three and living there until young adulthood, Kadenacy experienced the joys and hardships of living abroad with her mother and stateside with her father. With rich, cultural experiences under her belt, she was armed with material to enhance her music. After her mother was diagnosed with cancer, Kadenacy became her caregiver. Watching her suffer and helping her ailing mother affected Kadenacy’s outlook on life and therefore the lyrics that she would eventually sing.
With the passing of her mother and opening up about her sexuality, each song penned by Kadenacy draws from past experience in order to create a personal connection between her and her fans. With heavy influences stemming from her Greek background, her love for Roman and Greek mythology and a name inspired by William Shakespeare, KissMeKate’s music borrows from ancient themes. Her debut album pulls inspiration from many different artists, including James Taylor’s brother Livingston Taylor, Joan Jett, Fleetwood Mac, Fiona Apple and St. Vincent. Stay tuned for more music from KissMeKate and her upcoming album.
