Michael Kiwanuka To Release New Album In May

Michael Kiwanuka is set to release his second album, Love & Hate on May 27 June 3. Check out the Huse Monfaradi directed video for the title track below.

Of the forthcoming album, Kiwanuka states "I've always wanted to make an album that felt and sounded like this one. Working with guys as good as Danger Mouse and Inflo really helped me find what I was looking for. I hope this is just the start of more music to come."  The incredible synergy between the two is almost palpable, with Dangermouse confessing "I'd been wanting to work with Michael for a while and once we did a song, we just felt like we should keep going. I knew he had a great voice, but his guitar playing on this album was very important."  Kiwanuka ties it all together asserting that "Inflo was the very important last piece that really kept it all going. We really did feel like we were making an important album."

Disney is releasing its new live-action film The Jungle Book this Friday, April 15. I have fond memories of the animated classic so, this is one I'm looking forward to.

ABOUT THE FILM:
Directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, The Jungle Book is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray). Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don’t exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire. The all-star cast also includes Lupita Nyong'o as the voice of the fiercely protective mother wolf Raksha, and Giancarlo Esposito as the voice of wolf pack’s alpha male Akela.

KissMeKate Releases "Clementine"

Check out "Clemintine" from KissMeKate.  The track is from her upcoming debut album which is scheduled to be released this spring.

Indie-pop artist, KissMeKate announces the release of her brand new single, “Clementine,” the lead track from her debut album, which slated for release in April 2016. The self-written project was produced by friend and producer Andres Rebellion (Marina & The Diamonds). On the upcoming full-length, the LA-based artist reveals her very personal life experiences - topics range from death, sexuality and love and all depict her skillful storytelling.
The woman behind KissMeKate, Kate Kadenacy, started writing folk music when she was young, while spending countless hours perfecting the meaning and value of her lyrics. After moving from California to Italy at the age of three and living there until young adulthood, Kadenacy experienced the joys and hardships of living abroad with her mother and stateside with her father. With rich, cultural experiences under her belt, she was armed with material to enhance her music. After her mother was diagnosed with cancer, Kadenacy became her caregiver. Watching her suffer and helping her ailing mother affected Kadenacy’s outlook on life and therefore the lyrics that she would eventually sing.
With the passing of her mother and opening up about her sexuality, each song penned by Kadenacy draws from past experience in order to create a personal connection between her and her fans. With heavy influences stemming from her Greek background, her love for Roman and Greek mythology and a name inspired by William Shakespeare, KissMeKate’s music borrows from ancient themes. Her debut album pulls inspiration from many different artists, including James Taylor’s brother Livingston Taylor, Joan Jett, Fleetwood Mac, Fiona Apple and St. Vincent. Stay tuned for more music from KissMeKate and her upcoming album.

Tetra Releases "Ghosts"

Today we have for you "Ghosts" from Tetra.  Check it out below.

"Ghosts" was released March, 2016. You can pick it up HERE.

About "Ghosts":
Stunned and Saddened when they learned about the terrorist attacks in Paris, Tetra and her co-writer/producer, Ben Cohen, felt compelled to put down on paper their feelings on existentialism and mortality. "Slipping through the cracks in my fingers. Sink into the ground underneath. Do you believe in Ghosts?" The verses were inspired by the brutal impermanence of time while the chorus attempts to find solace in the idea of continued consciousness.

You can pick up the "Neverending" single HERE.

Neverending will be the lead track on Little Coyote’s second EP scheduled for release in early 2016. Written by Judd English and Anto Dinh.
Neverending was recorded and mixed by Wade Keighran at Linear Studios in Leichhardt, Sydney and mastered by Steve Fallon at Sterling Studios in NYC.

Sara Diamond - "Just Give In"

Checkout "Just Give In" from Sara Diamond.  You can pick up the single HERE.

Sara's thoughts on the song:
'Just Give In' is that feeling waiting for a relationship to go from casual and private to exclusive and public. Generally it could be explained and understood as the desire to be chased, to be known and to be loved.
