If I Dropped By… with Elephant 12

This week, I posed my “If I Dropped By…” question to Elephant 12.  I paid hypothetical visits to the homes of Jerome, Robbie and Andy. This is what I learned.  Also, I copped a copy of their latest EP, Sold Out.  See the bottom of the post to find out how you can win a copy!

Quirky NY Chick (QNYC): ... and brought a friend who didn't know your music, what song of yours would you play for them and why?

Robbie: I guess you would knock on my door right?? So the answer is our new single LOVE KNOCK ON WOOD.

Andy Metro: RENEGADE because it’s not a love song.

(QNYC): ... what song or album would you feel I needed to hear before I left?

Jerome: Saul Williams "List of Demands".  Just a song I wish I wrote...

Robbie: David Bowie's new single the The Next Day. I would probably show you the video too, best one in 2013 so far...

Andy Metro:  Depeche Mode, "Delta Machine".

(QNYC): ...would you proudly display the cheesy music in your collection, or pretend someone left it by mistake?

Robbie: Nope not embarrassed of my cheesy luggage at all, you'll find Abba Gold in my record collection and more Cheddar too. :)

Jerome: I'm so displaying the cheese I have Diana Ross and Marvin Gaye's Duet on vinyl and I love playing that shit.

(QNYC): …early riser or night owl?

Jerome: Night Owl I’m inspired by the still at night.

Robbie: Bit of Both.

(QNYC): ...what's one thing you must have in your refrigerator at all times?

Jerome: Gotta have mayonnaise haha.  Watch that movie Soul Brother with Eddie Griffin, white folks love that shit so he's converted...haha.

Robbie: Strawberries and whipped cream, you know in case of emergency. :)
